Summarizing IntrICT

Basically my entire first term, I found IntrICT to be the subject I was most interested in. Not just because of Sir Ollie's fun approach to the subject, but because it makes me feel better about taking this course. I mean... everything I learned in IntrICT class.. kahit ung little facts lang. It just fires up my desire to learn more about the subject. I mean, I remember the discussion about why the memories of USB's have a certain format. The story about the 5 LaSallians who helped save Smart. The activities about the Coco juice. Those were really fun for me talaga. It's a great way to not just learn, but actually experience what's in store for us. The 2000 item reviewer? That was a great challenge for us but I actually kinda liked the challenge. So yeah. Salamat nalang kai Sir Ollie for this fun term... for the fun discussions. for the fun facts. All the advice talaga helped out. And who can forget the dance showdown. HAHAHA. yeah. Basically I loved IntrICT this year. :) Pero sana I pass so I can go to orgman. HAHAHA. :D

5. To tell you the truth I'm looking forward to developing Information Systems. I know it won't be easy. But it seems like much fun. I love this course talaga despite the difficulty...

IntrICT entry

okay it's been a while since i've last posted. LOL. HAHA. so i'm gonna try to blog based on the notes and memorable sessions we've had with sir ollie(there were alot. trust me) okay so my last post was about the ICTM professional. I'll try to pick up from there... Random learnings:
1. There are 300,000 people needed in our profession annually.
2. There is a notion that there are no jobs available because:
2.1.Not much advertisements on PRINT MEDIA.
2.2. Companies rarely advertise. They go to selected institutions(e.g. schools) to recruit.
3. An ICTM professional can:
3.1. Analyze Organizational Structures
3.2. Conceptualize and Design Technological Solutions
3.3. Plan the Execution of a Technological Solution.
3.4. Execute the Solution
3.5. Train others in the use of the Solution.

An ICTM Professional

Okay so it's time for my weekly blog entry. Uhm, basically this week's lessons were mostly about what we would become when we graduated this course. An ICTM Professional. I truly hated it when people used to tell me "take up nursing man, you'll become really rich!" to which i always reply... "why? is the richest man in the world a nurse? is not the richest man in the world an Information Technologist named Bill Gates?". HAHA. So yeah, here are the random things i've learned this week:

1. 97% of DLSU ICTM graduates are hired immediately
2. We have one of the highest starting salaries..
3. We have the responsibility of making people's lives easier
4. Companies prefer to go to schools for hiring
5. Our branch of computer studies focuses more on the application part of computers.
6. Passing this course will not be easy, but most definitely worth it :D

Why ICTM?
Because it's the only course that combines both computer studies and business. I'm really into both :)

INTRICT FIRST ENTRY

okay time for the reason why I made this blog in the first place. My learnings in my first two weeks of my favorite subject. :D yesh people. IntrICT is my favorite subject because I have such a gwapo teacher. Sir Ollie Malabanan. hahaha. arayt. So I will be stating SPECIFIC things that I learned in IntrICT. Forgive the randomness..

1. I learned that Google Mail kicks Yahoo Mail's ass. (forgive profanity)
2. I learned that the Internet and Mobile Device are the two most popular technologies being used today
3. I learned MSN is the 3rd most searched website because it is the default home page for most browsers
4. I learned the difference between ICTM and CS people...
5. I learned it was Sir Ollie's birthday yesterday :D(sir ollie rocks)
6. I learned the value of Productivity and how technology can help increase Productivity
7. I learned that Steve is a really stupid guy who keeps on getting hit by bicycles...
8. I learned that a Microsoft Surface costs more than my house :|
9. I learned how to utilize the many technologies I have.. I can never forget Sir Ollie's first words to me.. Sir Ollie: Do you have a phone?; Jet: Yes; Sir Ollie: 3G?; Jet: Yes; Sir Ollie: Do you use 3G?; Jet: No; Sir Ollie: tsk2x. HAHAHA
10. I learned that Technology is fastly developing and there will be a day when robots rule the world..

The Wasabi Incident and PersEf! :)

Hello faithful readers/fans. Hahaha. If you've been reading the blogs of sila Jan, Vince, Sherv, etc.. Then you all probably know about the Wasabi Incident, but I will tell the story from my personal point of view. Okay so anyway, it was Monday and we had our lunch break. So we went off to Burgundy to eat at this Japanese restaurant whose name I could care less about. So yeah, we had lunch and once again, SHERVIN just HAD to use his mind tricks on me again. But to make a long story short, he tricked me into eating wasabi whole :| see clip Damn that sucked ass. HAHAHAHA. I have got to stop letting sherv manipulate me. It sucks. Anyways that was the highlight of that day, nothing significant happened on Tuesday. HAHAHA. But Wednesday was super fun because of PersEf class. Personal Effectiveness rocks. Anyway so yeah we were made to bring clay and stuff and make the clay into something that symbolizes "You as a true La Sallean". Ayun. Hahahahaha. So fun.. anyway, I made this blue bird(eagle) with orange hair(for fun) with a green arrow sticking through it. Sorry for those who attend the school which I intently made fun of.. it's nothing personal, I promise :D hahahaha. anyway, here are some pics :)

Sex, the city, and Mall Of Asia

Woohoo. Sorry for the delayed post, I had to wait for Sherv to upload the pics. So anywaaayy, I'm going to tell you the story of yesterday. Hopefully you haven't read Sherv and Vince's blog yet. Nyahahahaha. Okay, so yesterday started out with FilKomu. One class lang for the whole day. Yey! So yeah, parang na pissed si Mam dahil sa Eblog thingy. Oh well. Ampaw, kanin, palay, etc... and class was over. So pagkatapos nun, me, Sherv, Vince, and Ches went to the conservatory to chill. I went to fetch my laptop and we did some school work. We waited for Ches to leave and go to Batangas before we left the school to go to MOA(where the adventure really began). ayun. Chester left, and me, Sherv and Vince set off for MOA via taxi. Vince and Sherv started talking in Chinese and to our surprise, the driver started damn speaking Chinese. And I'm like... wtf. They all started speaking Chinese so I decided to make up my own language called "Jeteese". Sherv wanted in on it so we decided to call it "Sherjeteese"(see previous blog entry). ANYWAY! We got to MOA and Sherv was in the mood for Japanese so we ate in this place called Yoshinoya. I ended up spending 200 bucks for lunch. THANKS SHERV!>:P ayun, after that.. we walked around the mall. Sherv just HAD to torcher me and bring me to different places where I was tempted to buy... Breadtalk, Leonidas, GAP, Zara, Lacoste. and the most memorable place... Haagen Dasz. Damn they literally had to drag me out of that place so I wouldn't buy anything. People were staring. hahahahahaha. So yeah, oh did I mention we bought tickets to see a movie? Guess what movie... SEX AND THE CITY :D... We convinced Dennis to join us too. So it was us 4 testosterone filled beings watching an estrogen based film. Nyahahahahahaha. It was fun fun fun. okay so basically, Sherjeteese is a language me and Shervin invented. We will be using this in our world domination plot. Someday, everyone in the world will be speaking this language. :) so you might wanna get a head start. here are the first batch of words:

First Day at DLSU

OKAY my font is green ah. Despite my love for the color blue, I shall show my loyalty to my Alma Mater. Hahahaha. So today was my first day at La Salle. Whatta daaay. Hahahaha. Class started at 8 so me and sila Jamie went to KFC for breakfast. Mcdo sana pero ayun as usual daming tao dun pag early morning kaya KFC nalang. Ang present sa KFC kanina ay si Vince, Jamie, Tin, Gelo, Janine chaka yung friend ni Jamie na nde namin kilala. HAHAHA. anywaaaayyy, SI AC NA LATE! hahaha. We hadta leave her nalang cause class had to start in a few minutes pero Vince stayed behind to wait for her. woooowww sweet naman. hahahaha. And when we got to the classroom, Sherv got mad at me pa cause I didn't invite him to KFC raw even though it was all Jamie's idea. Anu bah. hahahaha. Tapos yun... Orientation for the classes.. etc. Then during lunch break, we accompanied the less fortunate blockmates who haven't bought their PE uniforms yet to the bookstore where we waited and waited and waited. And then after we set off for lunch, we were in the mood for SEX. Sinangag Express. yeeeyyy. Then si Vince nag lead ng way. Tinanong pa niya yung gagong guard kung san ung SEX. Then he gave us wrong directions and we ended up walking around 3 times more the distance needed get to SEX. hai naku. anyway we had lunch and had fun and etc.. Altough we now have doubts if Kevin is a boy because of he's unbelievably slow speed in eating. hahahaha. and so after lunch we went back to the school to look for aircon. HAHA and then i ran into.... IYA! the myx vj girl. the hot one. hahahaha. and i stalked her around campus nyahahahahaha >:) damn that girl can walk really fast. But yeah, I realized I was almost late for PE. buti nalang kasama ko si Vince. nyahahahaha. tapos ayun we went to Enrique Razon for PE nah where I kicked Shervin's ass at pingpong. and THAT is the story of my first day at la salle... PS afterwards, we went to Makati Shang for dinner. BE JEALOUS! HAHAHAHA.
